Why should I chose the villa over an hotel?
Disney Hotels can be very expensive. For the price of a room you can rent a luxury villa with your own pool and spa. Don’t forget the villa can sleep up to 14 people – imagine the cost of 5 or 6 hotel rooms per night, compared to the cost of the villa. The Emerald Island Resort has all the facilities of a top class hotel or resort.

How many bedrooms are there?
The house has 1 king bedroom ensuite, 2 Queen bedrooms(1 en suite), 1 double and 2 twins, one of which is a Disney theme. There are 4 bathrooms and a cloakroom.

How do we get to the house?
Upon booking your stay, you will be sent a welcome pack and directions to the house. Emerald Island is 20-30 minutes from Orlando and Sanford airports

How do we gain access to the house?
Access is via a keypad on the front door, the code for which is unique to you. Our management company are located within 1 mile of the house.

Do we have to pay a security deposit?
A security deposit is charged to cover the cost of any damages that may occur. This will be fully refundable if you look after and respect our property

Is the pool in the sun?
The pool and deck area are South facing so the pool is in the sun all day, even in winter

Do I have to care for the pool?
No, our management company take care of the pool weekly.There is a net available to take any leaves etc off the surface

Is the pool heated?
Yes the pool and spa can be heated for an additional charge. Heat is not required from April through October

Is the house cleaned before and after our stay?
Yes the house is professionally cleaned before you arrive and after you leave. A one off charge is added to your invoice to cover this. Daily cleaning, making of beds etc is the renters responsibility

Where can I check e mails/access the internet?
The villa has recently been installed with High Speed Wireless Broadband Internet which is free to all guests. However if you do not have your own laptop the clubhouse has a computer room with free internet access.

How many people can share the house?
A maximium of 14. We have 6 bedrooms which will sleep 12, plus a bed settee for another 2

What does the kitchen include?
The kitchen has table and chairs, a breakfast bar with stools, refrigerator, dishwasher, oven, stove, microwave, small appliances, dinnerware (dishes, cutlery, glasses etc) and cooking utensils (pots, pans etc)

Is there a laundry room?
Yes the house has a washing machine and tumble dryer

Do you allow smoking in the house?
No, the house is strictly No Smoking

Are pets allowed?
No pets are not allowed

What if we have any problems or questions during our stay?
Our local management company who look after the house are located within 1 mile of Emerald Island, and they are on call 24/7 to look after you. Full details will be provided to you before your departure.

Do we need travel insurance
We highly recommend everyone takes travel insurance. We can quote for this is required

Are there restaurants nearby
Within 1 mile of the house are all the main chains of restaurants from fast foods such as Mcdonalds, Wendys, Taco Bell etc, to Outback Steakhouse and many more. Also nearby are mini golf courses, medical facilities etc

How far are we from the theme parks?
You are as close as you can get without staying in a Disney Hotel. The entrance to Disneyworld is about 3 miles away, Sea World is about 10 minutes, and Universal Studios is 15 minutes drive. The Kennedy Space Centre and Cocoa Beach is about a 40 minute drive
